Which environmental issue can be overlooked by GDP alone?
Note
Industrial and coastal development can impose environmental costs not fully represented by GDP.
GDP generally values marketed production but does not subtract every ecological or health cost caused by activity. Pollution and habitat loss require separate environmental or welfare indicators. Environmental accounts can complement GDP in evaluating economic welfare.
