Why is Georgia GDP per resident not the same as labor productivity?
Note
GDP per resident is not labor productivity because its denominator includes people who are not employed.
Children, retirees, and other nonworkers are included in population. A productivity measure needs an appropriate labor input such as workers or hours, so changing the denominator changes the economic question being answered.
