New Jersey's manufacturing sector employed approximately 253,000 workers in 2024 according to a state labor report.

The 253,000 figure is an approximate 2024 employment measure from the cited labor research. Manufacturing employment measures workers, not the total market value of products they make. Do not confuse the employment total with the dollar value of manufactured goods.
