Identify the nature and role of the ‘Forest Brothers’ after World War II.
Note
The 'Forest Brothers' were armed partisan groups in Lithuania (and the other Baltic states) who fought a guerrilla war against Soviet re-occupation after World War II, primarily between 1944 and the early 1950s. They sought to resist Soviet control and restore national independence, operating from forests and rural areas and conducting sabotage and ambushes against Soviet authorities.
