The Tollund Man, found exceptionally well-preserved in a Danish peat bog, dates to which broad archaeological period?
Note
Tollund Man is one of the best-preserved bog bodies discovered in Denmark; he was found in 1950 in a peat bog on the Jutland peninsula. Scientific dating places him in the Iron Age (commonly described as the Pre-Roman Iron Age for this individual, roughly the first millennium BCE). Bog environments in Denmark have preserved several human remains and artifacts from the Iron Age, providing important evidence about ritual practices, clothing, and everyday life in that period.
