An ACS five-year income estimate pools survey information over several years rather than reporting one month's earnings.

Pooling several years allows estimates for smaller places and populations but represents a multiyear period. It should not be interpreted as data collected only in the final year. Do not assign a five-year estimate to a single year without qualification.
