What does Georgia’s Peach State nickname establish by itself?
Note
Georgia's Peach State nickname expresses state identity; it does not establish a current peach-production ranking.
A symbol tells us what a state has chosen to represent itself. Production rankings require a specific crop measure and year, so cultural identity should not be mistaken for a statistical table.
