Find the conjugate of z=3+-2i.
Note
The conjugate of a complex number keeps the real part the same and changes only the sign of the imaginary part. In symbols, the conjugate of a + bi is a - bi. Here the real part is 3, and the imaginary coefficient is -2. So we keep 3 unchanged and reverse the sign of -2i. That gives 3--2i, which is the correct conjugate.
