This is an arithmetic sequence because the difference between consecutive terms is constant. For an arithmetic sequence, T_n = first term + (n-1)d = 6 + (n-1)4 = 2 + 4n. A useful check is to put n = 1 into the final formula; it should give the first term of the sequence. So the nth term is 2 + 4n.
