A circle has diameter 56 cm. What is its radius?
Note
Radius is half of the diameter. 56 ÷ 2 = 28 cm. The diameter passes through the centre and is made of two equal radii. The radius is the distance from the centre to the circle, while the diameter goes all the way across through the centre. Since one diameter has two radii, divide the diameter by 2 to find the radius.
