Which archaeological culture is credited with introducing farming and building megalithic tombs in Neolithic Denmark around 4000 BCE?
Note
The Funnel Beaker culture (often abbreviated TRB from the German Trichterbecher) is credited by archaeologists with introducing full-time farming to large parts of southern Scandinavia, including present-day Denmark, around 4000 BCE. Members of this culture constructed megalithic tombs (dolmens and passage graves) and practiced mixed farming. The preceding Ertebølle culture in the region was primarily mesolithic and engaged in foraging and some proto-agricultural practices, while the Linear Pottery culture is associated with central European early farmers. The TRB's material culture and monumental tombs mark the Neolithic transition in Denmark.
