Which of these rivers is NOT a tributary of the Mississippi River?
Note
The Colorado River is not a tributary of the Mississippi River.
The Mississippi River system is not linked to the Colorado River. Far from the Mississippi's basin, it empties into the Gulf of California after flowing across the western United States. On the other hand, rivers that feed directly into the Mississippi include the Arkansas, Missouri, and Ohio. The Mississippi River eventually empties into the Gulf of Mexico, and these tributaries greatly increase its volume and flow.
