The Mountain gorilla is not native to the Mojave Desert.

Mountain gorillas are native to the forests of Central Africa, specifically in areas like Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, where the environment is drastically different from the Mojave Desert. The Mojave Desert is home to several species that are specially adapted to survive its harsh, dry conditions, such as the desert tortoise, Mojave rattlesnake, and bighorn sheep. These animals have evolved to cope with the extreme heat and limited water in the desert, unlike the mountain gorilla, which thrives in cooler, forested regions. The presence of mountain gorillas in the Mojave is therefore impossible.
