The Florida Reef Tract is the only coral reef system found along U.S. coastlines, located off the coast of Florida.

The Florida Reef Tract, part of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, is the third-largest coral reef system in the world and the only one in the continental United States. It stretches about 360 miles and plays a critical role in marine biodiversity and coastal protection. In contrast, the Great Barrier Reef is in Australia, the Red Sea Reef is in the Middle East, and the Coral Triangle spans Southeast Asia.
