The Battle of Saratoga occurred in October 1777, marking a crucial turning point in the American Revolutionary War.

There were two major battles in this campaign the first on September 19 and the second on October 7. Generals Horatio Gates and Benedict Arnold led the American forces in a decisive victory over the troops of British General John Burgoyne.
