Which endangered species can be found in the Rockies?
Note
The Canada lynx, a wild cat adapted to cold, snowy environments, is an endangered species found in parts of the Rocky Mountains.
The Canada lynx is a medium-sized wild cat with large paws and tufted ears, well-adapted to snowy conditions. This species is listed as threatened in parts of the contiguous United States, including portions of the Rocky Mountains. Habitat loss and fragmentation are major threats to the lynx population. While the American bald eagle has recovered significantly and is no longer endangered, polar bears are found in Arctic regions, and snow leopards are native to Central Asia's high mountains.
