Note
Women played a crucial role during the Battle of the Bulge, primarily as nurses, clerks, and support staff.
In addition to helping with administrative, logistical, and communication duties, women in the Army Nurse Corps and the Women's Army Corps (WAC) labored in hazardous and challenging environments while giving wounded soldiers life-saving medical care. Their work was essential to maintaining the troops' supplies, organization, and medical care throughout one of the bloodiest and most difficult engagements of World War II. These women frequently worked close to the front lines, putting their own safety at danger to make sure soldiers got the supplies and care they required. Their diligence and commitment were crucial to the Allied victory even though they did not participate in direct battle. These women's contributions demonstrate how invaluable their assistance was during pivotal times of the conflict.
