Note
Independence Hall is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is the site where both the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were debated and adopted.
Independence Hall is one of the most important historical sites in the United States, located in the heart of Philadelphia. It was here, in 1776, that the Declaration of Independence was signed, and later, in 1787, the U.S. Constitution was framed. The building is now part of Independence National Historical Park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The other sites listed—The White House, The Alamo, and Mount Vernon—are located in different parts of the country.
