What did the British army rely heavily on during the Saratoga campaign?
Note
During the Saratoga campaign, the British army heavily relied on Native American alliances to strengthen their military efforts.
They went to different tribes for help so they could use guerilla warfare and cut off American supply routes. The British thought that by forming these partnerships, they would be able to win the war. The tactic did not, however, produce the desired outcomes since many Native American tribes were hesitant to support the British cause wholeheartedly. The American Revolutionary War's turning point, the British defeat at Saratoga, was partly caused by this reliance on Native American cooperation in addition to other tactical blunders.
