What tactic did the British use that ultimately failed at Saratoga?
Note
At the Battle of Saratoga in 1777, the British employed the "divide and conquer" strategy to isolate New England from the southern colonies.
Their approach includes capturing crucial places to weaken American resistance. But in the end, the Americans' excellent organization and resolve made this strategy fail. The Continental Army fiercely resisted the dispersed and overextended British forces, which resulted in a resounding American triumph. This critical point in the Revolutionary War shifted the tide in favor of the colonies by securing French help and boosting American morale. A turning point in the struggle for freedom was reached at Saratoga.
