Using π = 22/7, find the area of a circle with radius 15 cm. Use it for a homework diagram.
Note
Area of a circle = π × r² = 3.14286 × 15 × 15 = 707.143 cm². The radius is used twice in r², so be careful not to use the diameter directly in this formula. Squaring the radius means multiplying the radius by itself before multiplying by π. This formula measures the flat surface inside the circle, so the final unit must be a square unit such as cm².
