On what date did the Baltic Way human chain, linking Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, take place?
Note
The Baltic Way was a peaceful political demonstration on August 23, 1989, when around two million people joined hands to form a human chain spanning roughly 600 kilometres across Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The event protested decades of Soviet occupation and drew international attention to Baltic demands for independence. It also commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact of 1939.
