What is the largest national park in the Sonoran Desert?
Note
Saguaro National Park is the largest national park in the Sonoran Desert, protecting vast areas of desert landscapes and its iconic saguaro cacti.
Located in southern Arizona, Saguaro National Park covers about 92,000 acres and is famous for its towering saguaro cacti, which can reach 40 feet tall and live for over 200 years. The park is divided into two districts, east and west of Tucson, and features diverse wildlife, including bobcats, Gila monsters, and roadrunners. While Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is also within the Sonoran Desert, Saguaro is significantly larger. Joshua Tree and Death Valley are located in the Mojave Desert, making them incorrect choices.
