What is the southernmost point of the Rockies?
Note
The Rocky Mountains' southern extent reaches into northern New Mexico.
While the bulk of the Rocky Mountains lies within the United States and Canada, their southernmost reaches extend into the northern part of New Mexico. The Sangre de Cristo Mountains, a subrange of the Rockies, mark this southern extent. These mountains, located in northern New Mexico, represent the tail end of this vast North American mountain chain.
