Located on the border between North Carolina and Tennessee, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a huge and magnificent national park. Founded in 1934, this park is renowned for its rich cultural past, varied animals, and mist-covered mountains. There are more than 19,000 species of living things in it, and thousands more have not yet been found. Hiking, camping, and scenic drives draw large numbers of visitors to the park, particularly along the well-known Blue Ridge Parkway. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most popular national parks in the US because of its breathtaking views, waterfalls, and protected habitats.
