Lake Michigan is connected to Lake Huron.

The two lakes are connected by the Straits of Mackinac, a narrow waterway that links Lake Michigan to Lake Huron at the northern tip of Michigan's Lower Peninsula. Although technically considered separate lakes, Lake Michigan and Lake Huron are hydrologically one continuous body of water, sharing the same surface level. This connection plays an important role in the Great Lakes water system, allowing water to flow freely between the two lakes and supporting navigation, commerce, and ecological balance within the region.
